League Structure
The North Shore Indoor Soccer League offers the choice of three different leagues to play in — men’s, women’s and coed. Each of these leagues is further broken down into both a competitive and non-competitive division. Each team/player does not need to meet any specific criteria to play in one division or the other, it is rather more of a choice of where that team/player feels the most comfortable.
In the competitive division the play is faster and more aggressive, as the teams/players in this division generally have previous playing history and may even be using the League as a way to supplement the soccer they are already playing on additional teams.
The non-competitive division is recreational and suitable for teams/players who are looking to improve their fitness and their overall playing ability.
Although the above descriptions provide a guideline for players, players should be aware and expect that these divisions will have varying skill levels within them, particularly in the coed league.
